Be Honest About You Really Want

March 26, 2019

What does it really take to get to the top? The top of our field? The top of our game?

Let me ask a more probing question...Do you really want to be the top? What is it that you really want to do?

How much effort and time are you willing to put in? Honestly?

Honesty is a huge part of growing as a person. We're not always honest with ourselves and this can delay paradigm shifts, decision-making, and goal-setting. In being honest and asking probing questions, you'll learn to decipher your feelings about success and failure, about hard work and sacrifice now to achieve your goals.

Learn to be honest with yourself about what you want, no matter how painful. That's how you change your focus.

People are motivated by Fame, Freedom, or Fortune. Which one motivates you?

Do you want more money because you want freedom? Or do you want the fame because you want the fortune?

Either way, what you really want is what will push you to achieve your goals.

A lot of people find themselves setback without realizing that it's because they don't know what they really want. They get pulled a million different ways because they "think" that what they're doing matches what they actually want.

For instance, authors chase fame and fortune, but falter because what they really want is the freedom to keep creating.

What do you want? What are you willing to do to get it?
